Another Day, Another Sweater

Christmas in Hawaii

Christmas in Hawaii will be lots of fun this year, my sister and her family will be visiting for 11 days....and they will be staying with me!  It's a 3 bedroom house....but it's still pretty small.  I guess it's a good thing two of the people visiting are still pretty small.  I have also joined a knitting swap, it's a Christmas swap...so that should add to the fun.  Luckily all the swap stuff will be shipped and on its way well before the house guests arrive.  At least I have 3 1/2 months to plan entertainment for a 3 1/2 year old.  She will probably be happiest playing with cardboard boxes in the garage.  Luckily I have the beach nearby and a few pools where she can play. 

Day and Night

Day and Night, or why it might be good if I learned to knit without looking at my knitting....

Kite surfers if there's enough wind and waves, and spectacular sunsets with Lanai to the left and Molokai to the right.  Most of the time I can knit without looking....but there are some patterns that make this impossible.....anything requiring more than 10 stitches worth of memory.  I think I am getting old, or the view keeps distracting me....who knows which.

A new knitter is born

Can you even believe these fingers?  She is definitely ready to knit, as soon as her eyes can focus and she discovers her hands.
