Finally
My first project is finally finished and Miss A can wear it. Yippee...

And for you perfectionists out there....here is a close up of the color changes. Miss A had fun modeling the dress for her Daddy, and in the process displayed the entire line of color changes in the round. Not bad for my first knitting project ever...if I do say so myself.

All in all it was a great weekend in New York, the weather turned out to be spectacular. I only went to one yarn store, I was aiming for two but the one was sufficient. So many of the yarn stores in NYC aren't as nice as what I have at home, so why would I bother?
Annabel was a perfect angel, and behaved beautifully for the whole 1/2 hour we were in School Products. I bought some cotton yarn on cones, I am really concerned about shrinkage, so I am knitting a fairly large test swatch to see how it does in the washer. It might turn out to be more like a denim yarn, and require some pattern adjustment. More about that later.
